Brazilian Choro with Israeli touch
The group plays it's own interpretation to the classics of the Choro style ("Tico Tico", "Brasilerinho", "Apanhei-te, Cavaquinho"), original compositions and Brazilian interpretations of famous Israeli songs. CHOROLE plays special instruments, identified with this style of music: Pandeiro (small drum), Cavaquinho (little guitar) ant Sete (7 string guitar). CHOROLE has been performing since 2008 in clubs and festivals all over Israel. In 2010, made a one month tour in Brazil which was a big success leading to a second tour on 2011.
The Choro style preceded the Samba and the Bossa Nova and is considered to be the meeting point between classic melodies and Afro Brazilian rhythms. In the last couple of years, this style of music has become so popular that it can be heard all over Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo's streets and clubs, and now - in Israel.
Responding to the Israeli enthusiasm towards Brazilian music, CHOROLE made it it's target to spread Choro style music all over Israel.
As an option, CHOROLE also hosts the great Israeli singer Noa Peled, singing in Hebrew and Portuguese.
CHOROLE is led and managed by the flautist Salit Lahav.
